Ben Jeffcoat

My name is Ben (he/him) I am a Sophomore majoring in Biosystems Engineering.

I chose this major because I am fascinated with ecology and the systems that make up the natural world and I want to be a part of something where I can make a difference in helping to preserve it for future generations while also engaging with nature for my own fulfillment. 

I am currently involved with the Controlled Environment Agriculture Center where I work to maintain tomato plants for research involving machine learning. In my free time I play guitar and sing. You may even see me at open mics around the Tucson area! Other than music, I like collecting houseplants, hanging with my cat, or hiking. I know how hard some of those STEM classes can be so please don't hesitate to schedule a meeting with me!
