The Biosystems Engineering Club is dedicated to the introduction and exploration of Biosystems Engineering to undergraduate engineering students and anyone else interested in Biosystems Engineering. Club activities include social events, lab tours, guest speakers, and design projects within subjects such as controlled environment agriculture, IoT, sensors and controls, automation, and robotics.

CLGA provides meaningful hands-on experience in the livestock and agriculture industries for our members. We often do industry tours and are planning to have more guest speaker presentations this semester to go along with our hands-on field trips. Some examples of things we've done include touring Whisper's Sanctuary (a donkey rescue), Vera Earl Ranch (a cattle ranch in Sonoita), having suture labs, and going to the Tucson Rodeo.

CALES students majoring in pre-vet, animal sciences, agriculture-related majors, etc., but we are open to all majors! We welcome anyone interested in learning about animal agriculture, animal health, and the associated industries. For example, one of our officers is a Mining Engineering major with a ranching background and a love for everything that comes with that lifestyle.

In CEASA, students get integrated into controlled environment agriculture through hands-on building and growing in hydroponics systems with produce ranging from leafy greens, tomatoes, jalapenos, peppers, strawberries, basil, and whatever students want to grow. In addition, a variety of guest speakers will come in to talk about their research, classes, experiences and more. Students will have the opportunity to get involved in greenhouses other than CEASA’s main one, as well as contribute to the university community with Campus Pantry produce donations, and get experience at the Tucson Village Farmers Market.

Financial Planning Club’s purpose is to identify opportunities for students to engage with active practitioners in financial planning and related professions and to facilitate a more seamless transition from school into the professional environment. Upsilon Theta Sigma is the first Pre-professional Integrative Health Fraternity. Upsilon was founded to help students apply scientific knowledge in personal and professional settings. Bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and using interpersonal skills to raise awareness about integrative health is uncharted territory in Greek life; we aim to make this accessible for anyone.

Our mission is to create a community on campus, where our members can connect with each other as well as with resources and opportunities centered around the integrative approach to healthcare. We center the organization around 5 pillars: Health and Wellness, Professional Development, Brotherhood, Academics, and Community Engagement. Including events like group fitness classes, breathwork sessions, hosting integrative health professional networking nights, public speaking workshops, volunteering at local community gardens, etc. to ensure a well-rounded experience is a priority.

Are you pre-vet, pre-med, or pre-dental? Every year we go on a trip to Central America. Next year, we are traveling to Guatemala to provide veterinary, medical, and dental care to rural communities. As a club, we meet weekly and have hands-on opportunities to learn skills like vitals, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, animal restraint, dosage calculations, and many other essential clinical skills. We also have several guest speakers from these pre-health professions, we do case studies, and have many opportunities to network with professionals in the pre-health professions.
